Stop Saying This One Word if You Want to Achieve Your Goals!

A quick mindset trick!

Here’s a mindset shift that blew my mind during my hypnotherapy training:

Our teacher asked us to stand up, hold a pen out in front of us, and said,

“Drop the pen.”

We dropped it.

Then she said,

“Now… hold the pen out in front of you again, and TRY to drop it.”

And no one did - all baffled.

Because your brain doesn’t understand ‘try’. It’s an inaction.

It only understands: do or don’t do.

So when you say:

“I’ll try to be healthier.”

“I’ll try to stop overthinking.”

“I’ll try to leave that situation.”

“I’ll try to change my habits.”

Your brain hears:

This isn’t happening.

“Try” creates hesitation.

It gives your mind an escape route before you’ve even started.

If you want change, remove the word ‘try’!

Replace it with:

“I am…”

“I will…”

“I’m doing this now.”

Small shift → massive difference in outcomes.

Your brain takes your language literally…

So give it clear instructions.
